Hi! I’m Sheldon!

I want to share my priceless journey since transferring to Fernvale Primary School. On my first day, I met Calvin, who became my first friend. He’s very kind, and introduced me to classmates who would shape my school experience.

My love for soccer helped me bond with them. I’ll never forget the moment they cheered for me and celebrated with me during our PE lesson. They made me feel truly accepted.

Exploring Jacob Ballas Children’s Garden opened my eyes to new adventures, but my most treasured moment was building a LEGO model of our school stage with my friends. As we clicked the pieces together, I knew I had found my place here.

Not the Shots I Expected

I came to our school’s Admirals Run excited to capture action, people sprinting, crossing finish lines, winning. But it started rainingand the run was cancelled.

I thought my photo plans were ruined, but as the day went on, I saw something else through my lens: excitement during mini games, teachers laughing, friends huddled in circles, the liveliest school cheer I ever heard, real emotions — not competition, but connection.

These were not the shots I had imagined, but they turned out better. My photos told a different story — one of camaraderie, company, and fun even when plans change.

In our Infocomm CCA, we learn photography and videography in a fun, hands-on way.

For photography, we practise how to hold the camera, focus, and use cool techniques like framing and leading lines. We take photos of our friends and learn to choose and edit the best ones.

In videography, we explore scriptwriting, filming, and editing. Some of our favourite projects are Our Schools, Our Stories short videos, and green-screen news broadcasts.

This CCA has made us more confident and creative. It’s all about “Lights, Camera, Friendship!” as we work together to capture fun and meaningful moments.
