Currently the Principal-Designate of the second specialised school for N(T) students, Spectra Secondary School, Mr Krishnan believes in his ability to relate to N(T) students and considers this as a good opportunity and privilege to unite with like-minded teachers to work towards the goal of helping students develop into engaged learners.

‘I look forward to welcoming the first batch of students in 2014. It is a very exciting journey for me as I enjoy interacting and helping these students. Just like the other staff in Spectra Secondary, we hope to nurture these teenagers to discover their interest and find their place in society,’ said Mr Krishnan, who has been teaching for 20 years.

To Mr Krishnan, he believes that the dedication and motivation to do one’s best stems from the desire to help every child experience success, even when it comes to celebrating small victories.

‘As educators, we are constantly reflecting on how we can improve ourselves, so as to create a greater impact on our students. We are heartened that MOE always recognises the work that we do,’ said Mr Krishnan.

‘One of the biggest challenges for Spectra Secondary School is to garner support from parents, the community and industry players. Also, it is important to build the confidence and self-esteem in the students. Ultimately, we want to do our best to help our students do well in life,’ quipped the 45 year old principal.
