Total Defence Day Campaign - The Soaper 5

This year’s commemoration of Total Defence Day takes on greater significance. We need to be united as we fight COVID-19. To rally our students against the disease outbreak, we launched the Total Defence Day campaign. Joining our Minister at today’s launch at First Toa Payoh Primary are The Soaper 5, to promote national resilience, social responsibility and personal hygiene. Catch them in action!
Total Defence Day at MOE Kindergarten (Toa Payoh) started with a special lesson that taught the kids how good hygiene is also a part of total defence.
The students also took part in a fun little dance to the song ‘Stay Healthy’ – joined by none other than Minister Ong Ye Kung himself.
Over at First Toa Payoh Primary, the students were introduced to the Soaper 5, new super heroes who represent the basics of good personal hygiene.
The students also danced along to the rap song from the campaign.
Minister Ong also joined the kids for lunch in the canteen.
And of course, ended the meal with the proper wipe down routine too.
