A Journey of Kindness: K1 Children Touch Hearts in the Neighbourhood
By Mr Prakash Ezekiel
MOE Kindergarten @ Bendemeer Primary School
Our K1 children embarked on a learning journey to appreciate the unsung heroes in our neighbourhood.
From packing care packs to making heartfelt crafts, they personally thanked shopkeepers, construction workers, and MRT staff for their hard work.
Through these simple acts, our young learners discovered empathy and gratitude, interacting with confidence and kindness.
This outreach built awareness, self-confidence, and a deeper sense of community — a reminder that even young hearts can uplift and inspire.

Walls That Teach, Spaces That Inspire

It began not with a camera, but a quiet moment — students rehearsing, limbs moving in sync, eyes alight with purpose. Buckets of sweat, stumbles and tumbles, yet they pressed on. That is resilience: champions born of chaos.
They cheered the clumsy, lifted the tired, giggled through the flubs. That is community; the young and the bold. Teachers, alumni, and students weren’t just preparing for a parade, but building belonging in small acts of care.
Here they are: the Party People — Singapore’s gloriously determined gang of dreamers. Let the SG60 parade begin!

Behind the Smiles, Beside the Journey
By Mr Muhammad Aziz Bin Firdaus Abdullah

As a younger teacher, I built walls. It felt easier to guide from behind a line, or a camera lens. But looking back, I’ve fallen in love with the moments within this community.
Seniors nurturing juniors at orientation, a small CNY celebration lifted by laughter, or a leadership handover shaped quietly yet with pride. I am proud and humbled to have walked alongside these young leaders, even if it means stepping out once in a while to truly see them.
