Having friends in school makes every day more enjoyable. I often wondered how younger students feel when they first join the school, when everything is new and unfamiliar. Through our school’s P1 and P4 Buddy Programme, I was paired with younger buddies for four weeks.
At first, we met with shy smiles and simple handshakes. My buddies seemed unsure, especially during recess, when they needed help buying food. I showed them around the school and helped them get used to their new routines. Over time, I witnessed them growing more confident until they could do things on their own. I felt so proud!

Facing our fears on the high elements, we learnt to trust ourselves and our friends, cheering each other on as we conquered the heights. Kayaking was a thrilling new adventure: the wonder of gliding across the water was a testament to our newfound skills.
The most significant moment was our first night away from home. Tucked into our sleeping bags, without our parents close by and the familiarity of our beds, fostered a sense of independence and instilled in us the confidence to face future challenges with a brave heart.

Pathlight School

We see the world in sharp detail, but our cameras help us share it. During our photography sessions at Pathlight School, everything clicked. Our teacher was there, guiding us and sharing in the excitement.
We captured our classmates leaping through the air, giving piggyback rides across the grass, and cracking wide, unforced smiles.
Holding a camera gave us a sense of purpose. We simply focused on freezing these happy, fleeting moments. Through our photos, everyone felt safe being themselves. These are our precious moments — loud, messy, and perfectly us.
