The cheers from the stands, the silence before the starter’s signal, and the clash of student-athletes. These are the moments I live for.
For six years, I stood on the sidelines of the National School Games, watching history unfold in split-second frames. Over time, my lens caught something deeper: the pure joy of celebration, the passion between plays, and the raw tenacity that medals never show. Photographing these moments did not just teach me composition techniques; it taught me who I could become.
As I lower my camera for the final time as a student, I realise I did not just capture their stories — I found my own.

School is more than a place for learning — it is where we discover new possibilities beyond the classroom. Through our school musical, The Dreams Observatory, I explored themes of dreams, uncertainty, courage, and self-discovery.
What began as volunteering for set design and music composition grew into a nine-month journey of acting, singing, publicity and backstage work.
Behind every performance were countless hours of rehearsals, where teamwork, resilience, and perseverance brought each scene to life. Every member contributed their unique strengths, and every challenge strengthened our trust in one another.

Like a Rubik’s Cube, we are made up of many different sides, each revealing a new possibility. At Nanyang Junior College, we are given countless opportunities to discover these sides of ourselves beyond textbooks and examinations.
School is a place where we can step outside our comfort zones and find new facets of ourselves in unexpected places.
These opportunities teach us that there is no single path to success and no single definition of achievement. Every challenge we take on shapes our journey of self-discovery, showing us that growth can happen in unanticipated ways.
